Analog headends
A headend is a tranmistting-receiving station for a cable TV network. Its task is reception of many TV/radio programs from many various sources and in many standards, modulation in chosen channels and combining all modulated channels into one broadband signal.
The basic functions of the headend are:
VECTOR has in its offer a wide range of the state-of-the-art devices for deployment of analog and digital headends. Our solutions are scalable, easy for installation and configuration, integrated with a remote management system allowing operation monitoring and easy modification of device parameters through the WWW interface.

The basic functions of the headend are:
- service reception sent via satellites, terrestrial transmitters and digital optical links transmitting the signals directly from TV stations;
- demodulation allowing obtaining the same signal format in the baseband;
- decryption of digital programs protected by CA (Conditional Access) systems against mo reception;
- decoding, which changes a digital stream into an analog signal;
- coding, which adapts baseband signals to cable TV standard requirements;
- modulation, which transforms the analog and digital signals to a specified frequency range;
- combining, which merges all the signals into one broadband signal at the headend output which is distributed in the cable network.
