MULTIMEDIA Polska implements DOCSIS 3.0 on basis of ARRIS C4 platform

MULTIMEDIA Polska – the leading provider of digital cable TV with Video on Demand, Internet access and telephony services – has begun the cooperation with VECTOR in the field of DOCSIS 3.0 high speed data transmission system implementation based on the ARRIS C4* CMTS. The decision was taken after the field tests. During the tests the engineers from MULTIMEDIA Polska had an opportunity to see advantages and profits coming from the use of the I-CMTS technology and ARRIS C4 controller in HFC networks.
“We have been cooperating with VECTOR for many years, we implemented together the advanced multimedia signal transmission systems many times. We appreciate their experience, technical competence and understanding of our business leading to the design of the system which takes into account specificity of our network”, said Jacek Głaz, the Director of Network Design and Development Department of MULTIMEDIA Polska. “The implementation of the DOCSIS 3.0 I-CMTS data transmission system enables us to provide Internet access services with the speed exceeding 100 Mb/s. The implementation of DOCSIS 3.0 reduces network operational expenditures – the power consumption is lower while the efficiency is higher.”
