VECTOR wins tender for multiplex deployment in TVP

During the first week of August,2008, the tender for the general contractor of the first Polish public TV (Telewizja Polska S.A.) multiplex was adjudicated. The winner is VECTOR - a company from Gdynia.

As a tender winner, VECTOR will deliver and deploy for TVP a complete system for compression and transmission of twenty five MPEG-4 SD (standard definition) channels and two MPEG-4 Full HD (High Definition) channels.

After the deployment the system will allow transmission to cable TV headends via the satellite and deployment of terrestrial multiplexes. It will also offer IPTV services. Basing on the VECTOR solution TVP can deploy its own satellite platform.

The project will be completed in Q4, 2008.
