OpVista partners with VECTOR SP expands into rapidly-growing Eastern Europe Market

OpVista, Inc., a leading manufacturer of metro/regional optical transport solutions, today announced that it has signed a comprehensive sales and support agreement with VECTOR Sp. The agreement covers the full OpVista2000 Optical Transport System product line, and is effective immediately.
VECTOR Sp is located in Gdynia, Poland and serves the entire Eastern European market. VECTOR is a major solution provider for the European telecommunications industry, specializing in multimedia services such as digital TV, Internet and telephony. VECTOR selected the OpVista2000 product line because its future-proof capacity scalability, incremental bandwidth expansion, and ability to provide high data rates on existing optical networks allows VECTOR to expand its product family from access networks to metro/regional backbone networks.
The OpVista2000 is based on OpVista’s patented and widely-deployed microwave photonics technology, using densely-packed multiple optical carriers for the highest capacity on existing networks without re-engineering. With microwave photonics technology, OpVista2000 can deliver deployment cost savings of up to 50%.
