- The upconverters contain at the input an up converter, which converts the input signal into a second high IF.
- In that frequency range the main selection with SAW filters will be done. The following down converter produces the desired output frequency.
- Every module is equipped with a range filter at the output (8 output variants) to minimize the noise storage at the interconnection.
- The output channel within the respective range is freely selectable.
- The converters are adjacent channel suited.
- The necessary IF filtration at the input (band limit) will be done at a prior positioned module (e. G. QAM modulator).
The UP converters UCB 1x6 are modules of the head end system B - Line, which is conceived as a complete system for the middle sized distribution network.
The modules priority is the conversion for digital IF signals (QAM) into cable channels.
All modules are programmed at the central control unit and are working independently afterwards.
The status of the individual modules will be displayed by a colored LED
